WATERSIDE ACCIDENTS
TWO MEN INJURED
A waterside worker, W. Roy, who resides at 19, Tho Esplanade. Petone, was at work in one of the holds of the s.s. Hertford yesterday when a cask of tallow fell from a sling and fractured his leg. He was admitted to the hospital at 12.30 p.m. yesterday. Barry Brand, who resides at the Central Dining Rooms, who is employed by the Public Works Department, fell off some scaffolding near the Pipitea wharf with the result that his back was injured. He was admitted to tlio hosoital at noon. Both ‘men are progressing favourably.
