BIG STRIKE AVERTED
MEXICAN RAILWAY WORKERS THE PRESIDENT INTERVENES. Renter’* -* (Received July 25. 5.5 p.m.) MEXICO CITY, July 24. The Confederation of Railway Unions withdrew its general strike order, largely, it is believed, because of tho intervention of President Calles. The strike, which would have involved 70,000 workers on the Mexican national railroad TTftes, had been called for Saturday morning.
