CHURCH SCHOOLS BANNED
MEXICAN GOVERNMENT’S ORDER DRASTIC REGULATIONS. Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association. MEXICO CITY, July 23. President Calles on Friday proclaimed regulations giving effect to the constitutional prohibition of religious teaching in private schools. The regulations supplement the religious laws, which became effective at the end of the month, giving the Government complete power to regulate churches and schools. Henceforth no minister, nor any religious cult, may net as director of or teacher in a private school, and chapels, oratories, and other places of religious worship aro banned from all schools.
