Many high tern perntures are reported .in country centres. At Sydney yesterday the thermometer reached 78.3 degrees, the highest ever recorded for July. Earlier in- the week the minimum temperature was 42.1. Victoria during the last couple of days has shared in tlie abnormal weather conditions, which extended over all.the States. A thermometer reading of 69 3 degrees yesterday was a Julyrecord.
