“TOO SLOW,” SAYS COBHAM
MACHINE HAMPERED BY WINDS SPEED ONLY 90 MILES AN HOUR. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. DELHI, July 22. Mr Alan Cohliam has arrived at Allahabad Irom Delhi. He complains of high winds and dust storms, which considerably interfered with the light. He has not seen the sun since lie left tho Mediterranean, and in consequence lias been seriously hampered in making photographs and surveys. The machine is working well, doing 90 to 95 miles an hour. The actual capacity is 140 m.p.h. Oobliam is keenly disappointed, as he wanted to make the quickest possible passage to Australia. Allahabad is a city on the Ganges in Central Bengal, about halfway between Delhi and Calcutta. ARRIVAL AT CALCUTTA Australian ano N./,. Cable Association.
