Dear Everybody,—* Too many—too clever! But here are the lucky ones:— * WATTY HARRIS, Waipukurau; and DIANA HILL, Wellington. And congratulations from every one of us. Now, what do you know of snail trails? Here’s a competition that isn’t just for the littler ones, thou„u it isn’t too h_rd for anybody. All you have to do is pretend (just in your mind of course) that you’re a snail. You’re a snail who lives by a fence on one side of a road, and for a whole human week (which of course would be ages and ages) you've been trying to make up your mind to cross the road. It's a tremendous adventure through a forest of . grass that blots out the sky, and then # . . . But now, you tell us the story. Remember, you're that very snail, telling us of your terrifying journey. Don't make your stories long. When you have written them, read them carefully through and cut out any bits that don't just have to he in—that don't make it any more interesting. Send your stories with your letters to me. Write .on ONE side of the paper, and don't forget your ages. Now. everybody, see what you can do! FAIRIEL. tiiiiiiiiimminmimiiiiimmiimiiiimiiimmiimiiiuimiiiiiiimimiiimiiiiiiimmi!
