THE OLDEST PYRAMID
MONUMENT TO A PHARAOH Many Australians and New Zealanders and not a few who were stationed in Egypt during the war, will have seen the Vtep Pyramid at Sakhara (writes a correspondent). It is a remarkable stone. It dates from nearly a century earlier than Cheops great pyramid at Gizeh. In appearance it is most arresting, for it is very massive. built in the third dynasty, and is datec by Sir Flinders Petrie about 4900 B.C Other authorities give its age ahou 4000 B.C.
