TO-DAY’S MATCHES Those who saw tho last match between Y.M.C.A. and Marist will not willingly miss their second meting at the Basin Reserve to-day. This game is a semi-final ior the Chatham Cup local ties, and as the competition is a knock-out, both teams will right till the final whistle. Y.M.C.A. (inc pre-sc-nt holders of the cup) will naturally put every effort into retaining their possession; while jYlaxist, who were in tho final in 1924, and are now a very tine combination, confidently expect to beat their old-time rivals. This game is sure to produce excitement and thrills. On No. 2 ground Diamonus play Institute in the first round of the Challenge Cup. The former in tlieir last meeting with Hospital put on five goals in the second haif, and gave their redoubtable opponents a great fight. Both games commence at 2.45 p.nl. sharp. If tho weather he fine two curtain-raisers will i>e plavod at 1.30 p.m. Institute will meet Scatoun in the fourth A championship, and South Wellinglon will plnv Institute in tbe fourth B championship.
