MISS LEITCH AGAIN
CHAMPION WOMAN PLAYER EASY VICTORY IN FINAL. LONDON, June 24. In the final of the women’s golf championship, Miss Cecil Leitch beat Mrs Garon 8 up and 7 to play. At the end of the morning round Miss Leitch was 9 up In the semi-finals the results were as follow:—Miss Cecil Leitch (Britain) beat Mile. Thion de la Chaume (France), 4 up and 3 to play; Mrs Gason (Britain) beat Mrs McNair (Britain), 2 up. Miss Charlotte Cecilia Leitch is 35 years old and has already held the ladies’ championship on a number of occasions. Her successes began in 1914. and since then she was champion in 1920 and 1921, ami was runner-up in 1922 and 1925. Miss Leitch won the French ladies* championship in 1912, 1914, 1920, 1921, and 1924. She also won the Canadian title in 1921. as well as a number ot minor golf Mhs Leitch has represented KnglaM in international matches since 1910.
