TO KELBURN
GAS MAIN TO BE LAID Quite soon now the Wellington Gas Company may continue the laying of its unfinished main from Aro street, to Kelburn and Karori. The main is to proceed via Norway street and Plunket street, and will connect with the existing main near the Karori tunnel. The pipes are now on order, and are expected to* be shipped round about August next, though the British general strike may have thrown delivery back somewhat. The completion of the main will improve the Kelburn pressure considerably. It has been decided also to extend the gas service from Karori to Ngaio.
