LETTERS

Dear Fairiel, — I want to be a fairy, too, and I am nine years old. I hare a little sister who is 23 months old. I have been going to write ever so many times. I did write once, only I forgot to post the letter. 1 have three pigeons, and a little canary. The canary sings beautifully. I live near the beach, and 1 love swinging in the summer-time. This morning my little sister Juliet picked the last of our chrysanthemums. When Mummy scolded her she gave Mummy a stick to smack her, and then started to sing “Daisy Bell.” Your fairy, _ . JOAN Eastbourne. tAged 9). Dear Fairiel, — I have joined the St. Michael Scout Troop, and X like it very much. On Saturday the troop went to Wilton’s Bush, and we had a lovely time. We played stalking, and made a camp-fire in which we cooked what we had to eat. Some of us walked across pipes that were over the streams instead of walking over the streams. Your loving elf, Kelburn. BRUCE.
