HOME FOR AGED NEEDY

RADIO SET PRESENTED REV. MR WEEKS THANKED. The lives of the inmates of the Home for the Aged Needy will be brightened by means of a radio set which was presented to the home last night. Some time ago the Rev. Ernest Weeks, of the Terrace Congregational Church, appealed to "listeners in" to subscribe for tbe purpose of supplying a radio set to the home. The response was immediate and adequate. Last night there was a gathering at. the home of friends and subscribers, and the trustees, Messrs George Petherick (chairman), W. J. Helyer. and E. J. Evans, accepted the gift. Mr Petherick thanked the Rev. Mr Week* for his action, und also the subscribers. Supper was served, and inmates and guests listened with enjoyment to a broadcast concert. A vote of tliank9 was accorded tbe representatives of the National Electric Company, which installed and operated the radio 6et.
