OPERA HOUSE

“GIVE AND TAKE.” “Give and Take,” Aaron Hoffman's American farce, is still in public favour at the Grand Opera House. The leading man is Mr Harry Green, who comes here with a London and an American reputation. Mr Green takes the part of John Bauer, a Jewish business man of eccentric ways, who unwillingly is made the first president of the ono and only "industrial democracy” of the world. Mr Green is excellent in the part, and the audiences soon liki him. "Give and Take” tells of the vicissitudes of a fruit canning factory, and shows just what might, happen when the workers control their own work. They accomplish their aims through the agency of an elected congress, to which any move in the busmes, must be referred. Miss Vera Spaull provides the love interest in the show. Edward de Tisne, Edwin Lester, George Hewlitt, and Hal Percy are the others in the cast. "Give and Take” will be repeated throughout the week, and finally on Monday night.
