HOSPITAL PROPERTY
AT LOWER HUTT Mr C. M. Luke reported to the Wellington Hospital Board yesterday that the sub-committee had visited the board’s property at Lower Hutt on Wednesday, with a view to seeing how the adjoining property was developing and the desirability of leasing the land. It was close to the new railway, the adjoining land was being built upon/ and even if the board did not utilise it, they would get their money back. It was gratifying to see the development going on in that part of the valley. Mr Castle said the committee should consider the possibility of using the site for hospital purposes at a future date. If they leased it expert advice should be obtained. Tho chairman said the committee was to report upon the question of leasing the property.
