LATE SHIPPING

MAKURA BERTHS. En route from Sydney to San Francisco the Union B.M.S. Alakura arrived in the stream at Wellington at 9.45 pan. yesterday, and after being* granted pratiquo was berthed shortly after 11 o'clock at No. 1, south, Queen’s wharf, to land her passengers and mails and to take in cargo. Tho Maicura, which was delayed at Sydney : owing to the fire which broke out in her stokehold on Thursday last, sailed from the New South Wales port at 1 p.m. on. Saturday.
