Thousands of musicians who listened to tho great A*gyl and Sutherland Highlanders Band from the Exhibition in AVeliington heard tunes thnt were familiar to them ? and encores were frequent. It would not be out of place to say that no one will take exception to an encore to a tune that has been played for many years. It is an oft-nroduced melody that has a great deal to commend it; and that well and favournlly known tune is “Don’t pay rent 1 ’; a melody that R. Leslie Jones, estate agent, of 101, Willis street, has been giving the public for many years. According to his special announcement in to-day's “N.Z. Times,” he has something gcod to offer home-seekers.—Advt.
