NEW ZEALAND APPLES
HUGE SHIPMENTS FOR HOME The C. and D. Line steamer Port Hobart, which left Wellington on Saturday for London, had on board 126,667 cases of apples from New Zealand. These will be on the London market at the end of June, about the time when the early varieties of English apples are on sale. At the early English varieties are not good keepers they will probably not have a great effect on the prices obtainable for firstclass New Zealand fruit.
