BRITISH TRADE WITH RUSSIA QUESTION PUT~TO CABINET. (Sydney “Sun” Cable.) LONDON May 23. The London Chamber of Commerce, in 9 letter to the Foreign Secretary relative to the Government’s not passing legislation to prevent the sale by the Soviet- of confiscated British property on the ground that it would destroy Anglo-Soviet trade, points out that the Russian trade agreement is more valuable to Russia than to Britain, and the risk of losing the small Soviet trade is not commensurate with the importance of demonstrating that Britain stands for sanctity of contract and does not acquiesce in spoliation.
