TO TAWA FLAT
ROAD IMPROVEMENT WILL EXTEND”OVER TWO YEARS. At the meeting of the Main Highways Board, the proposal of the Makar a Countv Council to raise a loan of £13,000 for ihe purpose of improvement of the main highway through the Ngahauranga Gorge to Tawa Flat, having been carried by the ratepayers, it was decided to proceed with the work Preliminary steps in regard to legislation, etc., are in hand. The programme of improvement will extend over a period of two years. Considerable flood damage in different parts of the Dominion was reported to the hoard.
