RESTRICTIONS RECOMMENDED AT WINTER SHOW. The matter of permitting downs” at the coming Winter Show in July, received brief consideration at the meeting of tho committee of the WTinter Show Association held last evening. Mr Quinnell, in raising the question, said that the ‘‘roll-down” provided n form of gambling which should not be encouraged and which provided most unfair competition for the remaining stalls, especially confectioners.
