FIREMAN FINED AND PROHIBITED ELECTRICIAN ATTEMPTS SUICIDE POLICE COURT CASES. Police cases were dealt with before Mr E. Florence Emma lOmnev, aged 56, convicted of loitering in Cambridge terrace, was sentenced tn one mouth’s imprisonment, with hard labour. Michael Martin, pleading guilty to n fourth offence of drunkenness within the past six months, was fined -Cl, in default seven days’ imprisonment. Further convicted of a broach of his prohibition order, Martin was fined ,£3, or a fortnight’s gaol in default. Michael John Downing, an electrician, aged 28, who appeared to answer . a charge of attempting to commit suicide at Wellington on May Bill, pleaded guilty. Downing was ordered to come up for .sentence when called noon within iv.clvo months and to pay „C 1 15s medical expenses.
