SURF AND LIFE-SAVING
ISLAND BAY CLUB. At the annual meeting of the Island Bay Life-Saving and Surf Club a proposal is to be brought forward that the club combines with the Island Bay Bdwling Club and the Croquet Club to inaugurate a monster gala to be held next Easter. Special efforts are being made to build up a strong membership in view of the indications that next year will be an important one. The following awards were made last season : —Royal Life-Saving Society Surf Medallion.—J. D. Smythe, R. Thomas, C. Tilyard, H. W. Gould, E. Mollier, E. Monteitli. Bronze medallion of Royal Life-Saving Society.—R. Thomas, E. Mollier, C. Tilvard, K. Monteitli, L. Monteith, T. Clarke, H. Mason, H. Reader. Law Rose Bowl.— W. Beveridge (captain), H. Reader, T. Clarke, R. Thomas, E. Mollier, L. Monteith, E. Monteith, H. Mason. Novice Surf Reel Championship and Cup (at Island Bay).—li. Mason, E. Monteith, E. Mollier, L. Monteith, R. TKomns, H. Reader, T. Clarke. The Island Bay shield was won by the Maranui Club at Island Bay.
