DRAWING TO A CLOSE
END OF EXHIBITION FINAL DAY SATURDAY. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, April 29. The city is full of visitors for the close of the Exhibition, and every day this week enormous crowds have thronged the grounds and spacious pavilions. The week opened with a remarkable Monday attendance of 23,128, on Tuesday the attendance was 28,169, and yesterday, when the three millionth visitor was received, it reached 43,640. Ten special trains which, if arranged in sequence, would stretch over nearly two miles, are bringing approximately 10,000 excursionists on Saturday for the closing. Three trains are coming from Invercargill, two from Christchurch, two from Oamaru, and one each from Timaru, Balclutha, and Outiam. The first return train, one from Christchurch, will not leave till 11.30 p.m. on Saturday. The Exhibition grounds will open at 8.30 a.m., and the Prime Minister will perform the closing ceremony at 2.30 p.m. The pavilions will close at 10 p.m., and the amusement park and grounds at 11.30 p.m.
