CANADIAN LIQUOR SCANDAL
FEDERAL MINISTER ACCUSED. (Sydney “Sun” Cable.) OTTAWA, April 23. Sensational liquor disclosures haftfc been made in Ottawa. Inspector can, a high official of the Cnnaditft Mounted Police, swore that the Hon. Jacques Bureau, former Federal Minister of Customs, was furnished with large quantities of liquor free from Government stores in the province of Quebec, with the connivance of officials of his own department, who handled shipments on Mr Bureau’s behalf. It was argued before the Commissioners that these shipments were merely taken from seized sample#.
