WAIRARAPA AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION
COMMITTEE MEETING.
A special meeting of the committee of the Wairarapa Automobile Association was held in the Working Men’s Club, Greytown, on Tuesday, Mr F. C. Bunny (president) presiding over a full attendance of members. The meeting was called to go into the question of appointing a secretary to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr I. V. Wilson.
The chairman reported that the directors of tho insurance company had appointed Mr N. C. C. Shepherd as secretary-manager, and he considered that the W.A.A. committee could not do better than follow their example. On the motion of the chairman, Mr Shepherd was unanimously elected secretary of the association. In connection with the car which was owned by the association and Mr Wilson conjointly, it was resolved that the association purchase the car at Mr Jones’s valuation. Mr I. V. Wilson, a foundation member of the Wairarapa Automobile Association, and secretary since its inception, has resigned that position on account of having disposed of his practice in Featherston. In recognition of his active interest on behalf of the association and motorists generally, the committee of the W.A.A. are giving him a complimentary dinner. Mr Wit son will take up his residence in Wellington.
