DISPUTE BELIEVED SETTLED Per Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, April 28. As a result of a conference between the watersiders and employers to-day, it is likely that work will be resumed at the Lyttelton waterfront to-morrow. Certain proposals, which were not communicated to the Press, were agreed to, and will be submitted to the members of the union in the morning. It is anticipated the men will accept the proposals, and work will be resumed. A further conference to discuss the matters in dispute will be held at Wellington next week.
