Commencing at the De Luxe- Theatre, “The Pony Express,” James vnruze’s epic of the screen, will be shown. Made by the same man responsible for “The Covered Wagon,” the new feature thoroughly deserves all the glowing praise that the critics hav© given it. It is rightly described aa a worthy successor to “The Covered Wagon/’ and added another remarkable success to his enviable list. Trie story is one of love and heroism in the days when the West first knew pioneers. It shows the adventures of brave men who faced great ]K?rils in order to bring civilisation into the extensive country which, at the time, was peopled by only wild Indians' Great battle scenes between the whites and red men are depicted, ant] io: these a largo band of the Sioux tribe was engaged. A wonderful erst of favourite players take part, including Betty Compson, Ricardo Coitez, Ernest Torrence and Wallace Beery. Walter Woods wrote the screen play from an original story by himself and. Henry James Foreman. A gigantic supooiting programme has been arranged, including a musical programme of great beauty.
