LAST NIGHT OF “SPORTING LIFE.”

The smart atmosphere of the track ot Epsom Downs during one of the annual Derbys was reproduced at Universal City for scenes in “Sporting Life/ t,h>3 Universal-Jewel Maurice Tourneur attraction which has its final screening at the King’s Theatre to-night. A thrilling climax to the spectacular picture comes in a horse race, which actually was staged at the studio between several famous racers brought from the track at Tia Juana for the picture. Dert Lytell, one of the screen’s most popular male stars, plays the featured role in the picture, with an unusual array of talent in the supporting cast.

Marian Nixon, who is rapidly forging to the front rank of the screen’s younger beauties, plays tile leading feminine role opposite Lytell.

The supporting programme comprises a gazette and a comedy, while there is excellent music by the orchestra, under tho efficient leadership of Mr A. H. Jcrojne.
