London - New Zealanders playing at Finchley in a charity Rugbv match in the presence of Sir James Allen and -9000 spcctataors, won by 9 points to 3. NEW ZEALAND REFEREES At the last executive meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Referees’ Association, Mr D. McKenzie presided. Others present were: Messrs A. M. Sims (Rangitikei) H. J. McKenzie (Wairarapa), H. S. Leith, J. Francis, T. A. Fletcher, E. S. Hylton, and L. Sievers. The new members, Messrs Leith, and McKenzie, were welcomed by the chairman. A report of the conference held recently at Dunedin was received, and Messrs D McKenzie and E. S. Hylton were appointed to confer with a subcommittee of the New Zealand Rugny Union regarding the interpretation of the latest amendment® to the Law® of the Game received from the English Rugby Union. Application for New Zealand referee’s examination papers was received from tlie Horowhenua and the Rotorua Associations.
