DECREASE IN PASSENGERS
EASTBOURNE FERRY SERVICE. According to the figures submitted by the traffic inspector (Mr A. Duncan) at the Eastbourne Borough Council meeting last evening, during March 50,567 passengers were carried on the ferry steamer, as comparecUwith 63,585 for the corresponding month last year, a decrease of 3018. A decrease was also reported for the year ended March 31st last, 717,253 passengers being carried, as compared with 762,933 the previous year, the total decrease being 45,680.
