ANNUAL MEETING At the annual meeting of the New ; Zealand Law Society recently held in Wellington the following were elected office bearers for the ensuing year, namely: Tvlr A. Gray. K.C. (president), Mr C. H. Treadwell (vice-president). Mr P. Levi (lion, treasurer), Messrs Clarke, Menzies, Griffen, and Ross (auditors). A letter was read from the Honourable C. P. Skerrett resigning his position as president of the society consequent upon his appointment as Chief Justice of New Zealand. ‘ In accepting the resignation members of the council paid a tribute to the services rendered by Air Skerrett to the New Zealand Law Society, and to the profession generally during the period of eight years in whirli lie bad occupied the position of president, and a resolution was carried recording the j council’s appreciation of his services, j and at the same time congratulating him upon'his anpointmc.nt to the distinguished position of Chief Justice.
