SATISFACTORY BALANCESHEET. The balance-sheet of the Eastbourne borough, which was presented to the council last evening, disclosed- that the debit in the general account had been reduced £877 during the year. ‘At the end of 1925 it was £1i142 and at-March-31st last £465. the sum of £167 had been advanced towards tlib purchase of" " the Roll* .Buy tennis courts .which, otherwise would have been used in -reduction of the debit. The ferry service account showed a debit of £IOBO in 1925, and thisyear a" credit’ of £4Ol, the running expenses having, .heeu reduced by £l4O. The debit in the profit and loss account of £7,080 had been -reduced to £6162.
