LONDON TALLOW MARKET The Bank of New Zealand (produce department) has received the following advice from its London office, under date 14th instant:—.“Tallow? There is a fair demand. Current quotations: Good mutton 42s 6d. to 43s 6d per cwt, good beef 41s Cd to 425, good mixed 41s 6cl to 41s 9d, gut 35s 6d to 38s per cwt.” Messrs Dalgety find Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their .London house, under date of the 14th instant:—Tallow—lo2s casks of tallow offered, 450 casks sold. No demand for mutton tallow—other descriptions 3d per cwt higher.

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE NEW ZEALAND REPRESENTED. Reuter’s LONDON, April 14. A hundred delegates, including representatives of Britain. Australia. New Zealand. Can., i, nnd Japan, attended the third International Shipping Conference in London. . Mr Walter Runeimnn presided. The conference unanimously resolved calling on the Governments represented at tbe forthcoming International Labour Conference to demand tho withdrawal from tho agenda of a proposed draft convention nil the simplification of the inspection of emigrants aboard ship. Sir Alan Anderson, the mover, said that the matter was outside the scope of the International Labour Office, which was tending to extend its province unduly. Tho question of compulsory passenger insurance fras referred to n committee. A resolution, moved by Mr Runciman, urging tho co-ordination of tho policy of nations ns regard* maritime commerce in a central co-ordinating body like the maritime committee of tho League of Nations was also referred to a committee.
