J. H. BETHUNE AND 00. There was a large and interested aV tendance at Messrs J. H. Bethune and Company’s auction rooms yesterday when they submitted several properties. Under instructions from the Registrar of th© Supreme Court a 5-rooroed house. No. 160, Owen street, on th© corner of Lawrence street, standing on land 39ft 6in by 85ft, was sold to Mr B. Semeloff as agent for £lOlO. The firm also sold a section In Hawkestone street containing 11.2 perches to Mr Stevenson for £660. They also offered under instruction* from the Public Trustee a four acre block in Adelaide road and Stanley etreet, but the bidding did not realise the reserve, and th© property wa© pas©* ed in. A leasehold section in Little Pipitea street was also offered, but was passed in. The unsold properties arc now in *h« hands of th© auctioneers for prirs+r sale.
