STAFF PICNIC
TURNBULL AND JONES, LTD. Although there was heavy rain on Friday night—rain which threatened to spoil the week-end —the staff of Turnbull and Jones, Ltd., were able to bold Iheir annual picnic at Maidstone Park on Saturday. As the morning wore on, so did the weather improve, and by the time the afternoon had set in. better veather could not hqve been desired. There was a large attendance of happy people, and it is perfectly safe to say that nil of them enjoyed themselves to the utmost. There were amusements for nil, and during the day an excellent, sports programme was arranged. Tho children’s races and fug-o’-war were big features of tho day. Afternoon tea was well patronised hy a largo number of hungry people, who were nil sorry when tho delightful day ended.
