T\rOTICE IS 'HEREBY: GIVEN that at - Av a Special Meeting of the Eastbourne Borough Council, held on MARCH 12th, 1926, the following resolution was passed: Whereas it is proposed that the Wellington City Coudcil, the Petone Borough Council, the Lower Hutt Borough Council; the-Eahtbourne Borough Council, the JohnsonviUe Town Board, the . UpperHutt Borough Council, the Hutt County Council, and the Makara County Council should make similar .by-laws in relation to heavy ■ traffic, that license fees should be collected only by the Wellington City Council, and that such fees, should be apportioned amongst the above-mentioned local authoriti es in proportion to 1 their contributions to the maintenance of the Hutt road under theprovisions of. the Hutt- Road Act, 1915. Now, • therefore, the Eastbourne 'Borough Council in exercise of the powers vested .in it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and its amendments,* and particularly in exercise of the powers vested in-, it' by section 855 of: the Municipal Corporations Act,. ,1920, the Public Works Act,'l9oß, and its amendments, and particularly the Public Works Amendment Act, 1924, and in pursuance and exercise’ of every other* authority, or power enabling it in . that- behalf,'hereby, makes by Special Order the following By-law*: The short/title of this By-law is'the Eastbourne Borough Heavy Traffic ' By-law. 1926, and it * snail' be read together with and form part . of the'Bastbourno, Borough'General By-law, .1922. , The object v and purport of the By-law are:— 1.
