ABSENTEE TAX
PROTEST IN ENGLAND SALES IN. NEW ZEALAND. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—CopyrisV. (Sydney "Sun’’ Cable.) LONDON. March 11. The Northampton Chamber of Commerce adopted a resolution for presentation to Mr Baldwin, protesting against the system whereby certain Dominions charge income tax upon absentee principals. A member stated that the New Zealand authorities, through his agent, were demanding a tax on the estimated profits-of his sales there. The chamber recommended resistance, and urged the Government . to bring up the. matter at the Imperial Conference,
