YOUNG MAN’S DRIVING
“A menace TO THE PUBLIC" MAKARA COUNCIL’S COMPLAINT. At the meeting of the Makara County Council yesterday it was decided to send a letter to. the Mayor, Mr C. J. B.; Norwood, -complaining about the. rqokless driving of a relative while driving in the district under the coun- < oil’s control. Mr E. Windley, the chairman, stated that the young man was a “menace to.the public,’’ and that he was a most reckless driver. “It is estimated,” said Mr Windley, “that his speed while driving is seldom less than 40 miles per hour.” Mr Windley stated that ••verxone knew that the roads in the district were not good, and were not wide, hence it was a serious matter to have such a driver *on the roads.
