ROBBERS' CAVE SECRET
Sicilian hngands, lately go widespread that they‘terrorised four provinces, have Just been rounded up- ana corralled in a grand battue, which has left the island more peaceful,, perhaps, than it has been since the golden age of Saturn or Follio. Police, efforts had long failed,, so (the Central; News reports) troops, also,, were called out, and a cordon was drawn round the four provinces. This was gradually narrowed dovvn until the hand occupied only a small area. Many vain ultimatums were sent. At last'the troops concentrated, and opened fire - , Several brigands then emerged.' When taken captive they gave clues to the haunts of other bandits, until all the members of the hand wore captured. Seized papers show that the robber bands were conducted on military lines.
