Never has the engineering trade in Great Britain paseed through such difficult days, ' but in Czechoslovakia the industrial position is excellent, and the engineering works, in. particular, are reported to be fully occupied. The business of tne big Skoda l steels ; The business of the big Skoda steel works at Pilsen, in is flourishing, and the plant is working for whole 24 hours, only shutting down an Sundays.. There are .three eighthour shifts, with only one quarter of an hour’s break in each, during which portable canteens are wheeled into the shops so that the men can buy what they want on the , spot. -
