A mass meeting of Hoe strikers re. jected a recommendation by the executives of the unions to return to work. I'hcy resolved that they would not resume until the non-unionists were removed and a substantial increase in wages was assured. Tho executives called a meeting to consider disciplinary action. As tho result of the meeting of the members, the executives of tho seven unions concerned in the Hoe dispute and Sir Allan Smith, chairman of tho Employers’ Federation, the employers agreed to defer the operation of the lockout notices until March IStli.
