LADY’S FAST
ORANGE JUICE AND WATER FOR FORTY-TWO DAYS Australian and N.Z. Table Association. (Received March 10. 7.50 p.m.) LONDON, March 10. Medical interest has been aroused by Ladv Fisher’s fast which has been broken after forty-two days, wherein she had nothing beyond water and orange juice. Last night she had the first pang of hunger, upon which she expressed a desire for brown bread' and butter. *Fhe superintendent in charge of the institution declares that the hunger after a fast is always for natural food. Ladv Fisher was allowed diluted- milk, gradually wosking up to natural milk until a week, when she will he allowed brn-*n broad.
Throughout the first five weeks of the fast Ladv Fisher danced, took long walks, and was generally physically active. She declared that she had never feH bettor before in her life+ime. Lady Fisher is the wife of tho Secretary 'of the Treasury.
