DRAWING TOGETHER
AMITY IN CHURCHES CONGREGATIONAL DELEGATES WELCOMED. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 11. A welcome dinner was .tendered by i,ho Auckland Congregational district to New Zealand and Australian Ccnir gregational delegates last eVening. Archbishop Averfll said he was glad to welcome the delegatee from’ Australia. The churches should pull together to attain a greater degree of uniformity, so that a louder voice could go from the church than ever before. Tho Rev. Mr Dowling said the Australian delegates had already been overwhelmed with hospitality. They knew that Congregationalists in New Zealand had a leadership, but they had no idea that the leaders had handled their work with such credit. The Rev. Mr Saunders (Dunedin), replying for the southern delegates, referred to the way the churches were now drawing together. When they were allowed to enter Anglican pulpits without re-ordination they would como yet closer together. The business session opened this morning with tho chairman’s address.
