LOCAL AND GENERAL NOTES NGAROMA RETAINS M'KENZIE WRISTLETS FINAL SCORES FOR INTER-CLUB MATCHES (By “Roquet.”) NgaToma Club successfully defended the challenge of the Lyall Bay Club for the McKenzie Wristlets on Monday. They were also successful previously against the Hutt Club, when the score was in Ngaroma’s favour. Lyall Bav was represented by Mesdames Mitchell and Manton. Mesdames Hope and Hunter played for Ngaroma Cl-üb, and chose blue and black Halls. 'Lyall Bay won the toss, and Mrs Manton (red) played towards the peg. Mrs Hunter sent black to the right line, whither she was. followed by yellow, played by Mrs Mitchell. Mrs Hope (blue) aimed for them from B baulk, but missed. Yellow took off black to red, then laid for the first hoop. Black went to .blue in the corner. Red played, but baulked at the hoop. Black played off blue towards the fifst hoop, but laid in the centre of it, and was cut out of it by red, who scored two points (Lyall Bay 2), but missed her partner’s ball. Black took the turn and made a break of four hoops before missing. (Ngaroma 4, Lyall Bay 2.) Yellow hit red, took oi. to blue, but failed at the first hoop with blue close, who made the point with it, then went back to black (Ngaroma 5, Lyall Bay 2>. Yellow hit in, made the first hoop, then went to her partner (Ngaroma 5, Lyall Bay 3). Black hit in a good long shot and made the fifth hoop (.Ngaromn 6, Lyall Bay 3), then missed. Blue played off black to the second hoop, and laid in the centre, leaving the opponents together. Red took the turn off yellow, hit blue out of position, and went to yellow. Blue played off yellow to mack, made the second hoop, an-h laid in position for the next (Ngaroma 7, Lyall Bay 3). Red to yellow. Blue scored, but missed the opponents (Ngaroma 8, Lyall Bay 3). Red hit yellow, made the third hoop (Ngaroma 11, Lyall Bay 8), then went to the boundary. Black to blue. Yellow made the sixth hoop with red, separated and returned to her partner (Ngaroma 11, Lyall Bay 9). Black missed blue.
