Dorothy has wanted me 1 to join Tile Ring before, hut now that i l have solved a puzzle X am able to \ write. j I am the friend who Dorothy stayed | with out at Stokes Valley. We go out ; every week-end, and when it is fine ] we have a swim in the swimming pool ! and other fun. ; We hfive a rockery on an island in : the stream. We have a lovely big treei fern and a hiith beech tree in our j bush when the fantails come very i close to us and tweet, tweet. In the j winter they come into the porch to \ be fed with crumbs, but. the cheeky sparrows soon see what is going on and outdo the dear wee fantails for the best part of a meal. I have been to the gardens to see the lovely flowers. Although I have had such a jolly time I will he glad when school starts again. I have learned to swim and fish but Mum says I haven’t learned washing ears yet! Have-you ever eaten leather jacket? I caught some one day and skinned and cooked them for lunch. Gee whiz, they were good! I went to see Peter Pan. Did you see it? For it was all about fairies and I thought of the Fairy Ring.
