WELLINGTON CENTRE CARNIVAL DATES. A meeting of the Wellington Centr# of the N.Z.A.S.A. took place last evening. Dates were allotted for carnivals as follow : Carterton, February 20th; Greytown, February 20th (night carnival); Wellington Club, February 27th; Hutt Club (new baths', March 6th; Masterton (night carnival), February 17th. Swimmers making the trip to Carterton and Greytown on February 20th must advise the secretary immediately, nr Mr J. Calnnn, Te Aro Baths, as all scat© must be booked, no one will l>e taken unices sent is booked, and any swimmer booking a seat and not going must pay for same. These two carnivals will be worth, seeing and swimmers nmldng tho trip in the past have had u real good time. The 440yds provincial championship has been allotted to Carterton, nnd the 220yds to Greytown, which will be an added attraction. It is probable tiiat in tho future the Moranui and Lyail Bay Clubs will hold carnivals at To Aro Baths for competitive swimming, and this will he a great asset to the sport, and will be appreciated by nil other affiliated clubs. The Hutt baths arc going along well, and there is no doubt that when finished they will be one of the finest in Now Zcolnnd. If the carnival date allotted them on March 6t!i come off it will be well worth a trip to see. Mr Beasley, who has the matter in hand, advises that everything is going along satisfactorily. The Norden Cup competition may be held in Wellington at Easier between Canterbury an 1 Wellington The Wellington Club carnival on 27th imt. is being looked forward to and this cli.b c?n be relied on to cater well for the Public.
