A wireless from the German liner Bremen, received on Wednesday at Halifax, Nova Scotia indicated that the British freighter Lariston has gone to pieces, and that 25 members of the crew are lost. Following the two-day battle with the wind and snow in the North Atlantic, the Bremen, which has been standing by since she rescued six men on Tuesday, abandoned the search far fha survivors ANTINOE STILL DRIFTING RESCUE WORK CONTINUED. (Received January 28, 7.20 p.m.) NEW YORK, January 27. Twelve men in a very weakened condition were rescued on Wednesday night from the British freighter Antinoe, during a lull in the storm, by the President Roosevelt. Further attempts will be made at rescue, as the weather permits. The Roosevelt already has lost four lifeboats in her efforts.
