SIR ROBERT STOUT

RETIREMENT FROM BENCH FAREWELL BY WELLINGTON BAR. Sunday, January 31st, sees the termination of Sir Robert Stout’s appointment as Chief Justice of New Zealand, and his' retirement will be recognised by the Bar of New Zealand, who will tender him a formal farewell at 10.30 on Monday morning in the Sunrenie Court where he has presided so ably for many years. It is expected that the other justices will be present, and the senior Judge. Mr Justice Reed, will preside. The Attorney-General (the Hon. Dmvnie Stewart - ) will speak on behalf of the Bar. and it is expected thw there will be a very large attendant)* of Wellington practitioners.
