VIOLENT COLLISION
CARS -MEET HEAD ON PASSENGERS SEVERELY HURT Per Press Association. TE KUITI, January 27. . A violent head-on collision occurre.'. on the Otorohanga road, a mile and a half from Otorohanga, yesterday afternoon between a seivice car bound for Hamilton and driven by Humphrey Innes Jones, and a private sedan driven by C. M. Moore-Jones, of Rermnera, Auckland. Both drivers escaped injury, but MrM. Bedford and Jessie Wood, aged eleven years, of New Plymouth, passengers on the service car, were badly cut by broken glass. Mrs Moore-Jones was also very severely cut about the face, while Mrs M. A. Cullen, of Auckland, a passenger in Mr Moore-Jones’s car, s suffering from shock. The fronts of both cars were reduced to scrap Iron.
