POLICE COURT
YESTERDAY’S CASES. Mr !e. Page, S.M., presided at th| sitting of the Police Court yesterday. James Wemyss O’Donahoo, for • breach of his probationary license, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment with hard labour. George William Nelson Wildermoth, for false pretences, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment. On three other similar charges he was convicted and discharged. For a breach of his probationary order he was also convicted and discharged. The probation officer stated that accused had already been admitted to probation for an offeree of false pretences at Christchurch, and that he appeared to treat the terms of his probation lightly, having been before the court for a breach of -his order. Mary Eleanor King, on a charge of stealing the following articles: a child’s sports coat, valued at 9s lid, the property of James: Smith, Ltd., lady’s handbag, valued at £3, the property of Kirkcaldie and Stains. Ltd., a rubber coat, valued at £1 5s 6d, the property of James Smith, Ltd., and a fur coat, valued at £45, the property of George and George, was admitted to three years’ probation. Accused is a married woman with one child.
